The alliance is a strategic co-marketing initiative: Thorburn will act as Cyence’s spokesperson at financial industry conferences and Cyence will support Thorburn’s promotional campaign.

The marketing alliance was initiated by Cyence CEO Peter Hyne, a longtime fan of Thorburn. Hyne sought to collaborate with the celebrity after learning of similarities between Cyence’s business disciplines and Thorburn’s success formula for snooker, a form of billiards widely played around the world.
